Dr. Millsop attended the University of Minnesota-Duluth and Northwestern Health Sciences University. He earned the following degrees: Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and Doctor of Chiropractic. He is licensed and in good standing with the Minnesota Board of Chiropractic since 2008.
He is a board-certified chiropractic sports physician through the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians™ (ACBSP™) and achieved the International Certificate in Sports Chiropractic through Federation Internationale De Chiropratique Du Sport (FICS). Dr. Millsop is a board member of the Minnesota Chiropractic Association (MCA) and is a member of the American Chiropractic Association (ACA). He is a member of the MCA and ACA sports councils.
Dr. Millsop is certified in Active Release Techniques® (ART®) and is a provider in their "Elite Provider Network" (EPN). Dr. Millsop has utilized ART® on-site at multiple corporations to help them reduce recordable injuries, producing a significant return on investment for the corporations while helping their employees stay healthy and productive. He has additional certifications in Functional Movement Screen (FMS), Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Medical Level 2, and the McKenzie Method® of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy® (MDT). He consistently performs many more hours than are required for continuing education on an annual basis, as each patient is unique and a variety of treatment options need to be available to get them to their goals.
Dr. Millsop was named the 2020 MN Sports Chiropractor of the Year by the MCA. He was previously presented the Young Practitioner Meritorious Service Award by the MCA. He has been named "Best Chiropractors" of 2015-2022 by MN Monthly magazine. He is a top-tier provider for Optum (Medica, UHC) and "Centers of Excellence" provider through Fulcrum (Health Partners, Cigna, Aetna) which rates in-network providers by outcomes.
When not working in the clinic, at a corporation, or at a sporting event, Dr. Millsop is spending time with his wife (Megan), son (Jackson), daughters (Avery and Rowan), and dog (Dell). Dr. Millsop is passionate about all things sports, culture, food, travel, backpacking, and trivia.....lots of trivia!
